Laminate Flooring for Today
February 1, 2010
There are many types of laminate flooring. It is popular because it can be used in any room, and installed over many existing floors, concrete slab, and wood sub flooring. Laminates are resistant to burns, scratches, and dents, and care good warranties.
It can be found in styles mimicking wood grain patterns, granite, marble and other natural stone. It is easier to clean and maintain than natural flooring, including ceramic tile. There is no grout to scrub, bleach, and repair. Your laminate flooring can be either a high pressure flooring, with a separate surface to protect the pattern, or a direct pressure laminate, which has the pattern and wear surface in the same layer.
