Suny Field HouseThe field house, also known as the new sports complex, built on the SUNY Binghamton Campus will be getting commercial flooring installed this week by the Binghamton Floor Specialists.

The northwest corner stairwell will be getting rubber tiles and stair treads installed. Johnsonite, a leading manufacturer of commercial flooring is supplying the new flooring for the project. Tim Porupski of the Endwell Rug Co. is the commercial salesman who contracted the project for the University.

The rubber treads and tiles will be installed on the steps and landings to insure safety for the well traveled area. This will complete the stairwells in the complex and adds the final touch aesthetically as well.

Rubber Commercial Flooring

October 18, 2009

rubber commercial flooringThe Mannington corporation has recently launched their new line of rubber flooring. As the marketplace becomes more competitive, it is an advantage for the premium manufacturers of commercial flooring to continually add or update their product lines to enjoy their share of the profits in the industry.

Mannington’s new Premium Rubber Flooring line offers floor tiles, wall base, stair treads, and finishing accessories to compete with other manufacturers such as Roppe.

Over 70 colors have been added and out of those 70, 25 of them have been closely coordinated to their popular line of VCT flooring.

Rubber flooring also comes in sheets and is often used in very high traffic areas. The Binghamton Floor Specialists, a premium installation company located in Binghamton NY, has installed hundreds of yards of rubber flooring in elevators, corridors, and office spaces.

Colleges, such as SUNY Binghamton, often use rubber stair treads throughout the campus to accomodate the large volume of foot traffic found there.

Rubber flooring certainly has it’s place in the commercial flooring arena, but it can also be used in the residential marketplace as well. Tough is what comes to mind when I think of rubber products and if tough is what you need then rubber is the answer.
